Location Log Data Export Guide

IOS steps

1. Open export tools
   Path: Location Log -> History or Settings -> Export
   Choose the export action from app controls.
2. Export location history
   Path: Export -> select range/date -> confirm
   Export the period you want and save the file.
   Expected output: .gpx
3. Share the file
   Path: Share sheet -> Save to Files / AirDrop / Email
   Send the exported file to your desktop if needed for conversion.

Convert to CSV

1. Convert GPX to CSV using a trusted GPX-to-CSV converter.
2. Keep latitude, longitude, timestamp, and speed columns when possible for charting.
3. Upload the CSV into csvviz.

Known limitations

• Location Log export format is commonly GPX, not direct CSV.
• Low-power or background restrictions can reduce sampling density.

If menus changed: If Export is not visible, check app permissions and ensure logging has collected data for the selected date range.
