Strava Data Export Guide

WEB steps

1. Open Strava website export settings
   Path: strava.com -> account settings -> data export
   Use Strava website (not mobile app) to access export tools.
2. Export single activity or bulk data
   Path: Activity page ellipses -> Export Original/GPX, or account bulk export
   Download activity files or full account export package.
   Expected output: .fit / .gpx / .tcx / .zip (varies by export type)
3. Store export files
   Path: Browser downloads -> organize files by date/activity
   Keep files grouped before conversion.

Convert to CSV

1. Convert GPX/TCX/FIT files to CSV with a trusted converter or analysis tool.
2. For bulk ZIP exports, extract first, then convert selected activity files to CSV.
3. Upload converted CSV to csvviz.

Known limitations

• Strava exports are available on Strava website workflows.
• Native exports are not direct CSV for many activity types.

If menus changed: If export actions are missing, open Strava from desktop browser and verify activity ownership/permissions.
